Message from Jim!
I hope you enjoy your visit to Purple Sector Timepieces. I started Purple Sector to take my love my love for watches to the next level. When I was young by father wore a Bulova Devil Diver that I remember being too little to turn the bezel. Watching my son have the same fascination with my own watch 30 years later renewed my passion in watches and Purple Sector was born.
I believe watches are meant to be worn and unless a watch is listed as “new” you’ll likely see pictures of it being worn on our Instagram. Watches aren’t just for the person wearing it but for everyone who gets to see it. They can inspire and remind us of precision and innovation. Like a vintage car has to be driven to truly enjoyed, a watch needs to be worn to be fully appreciated.
Feel free to reach out as it will likely be me who responds. My business partner in grade school now but is kind enough to lend the use of his car collection for use in photos. Some of the photos may also be a bit “artistic” as he likes to help take them as well. Some people believe that watches are dying as cell phones take over. I believe they are only now starting to be truly appreciated as something more than just a tool.
